This Privacy Policy explains how Divine Standard LLC ("Divine Standard," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit divinestandardllc.com, request access, or use our AI business consultant, The Standard program, membership, courses, and add-on services (together, the "Services"). It also explains the choices and rights you have.
The short version: we collect what we need to run your consultant and your account, we use it to help you build your business, we never sell it, and you can ask us to see, correct, or delete it at any time by emailing info@divinestandardllc.com.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us:
- Contact and account information: your name, email address, and login details.
- Access request answers: the questions you answer to get verified, such as your state, the stage you are at, and your business idea.
- Business information: what you share with your consultant, including your business ideas, plans, goals, budgets, pricing, schedule, brand preferences, and your conversations.
- Payment information: when payments are available, they are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly. We receive limited information, such as your name, billing location, the last four digits of your card, and your payment history. We do not store full card numbers.
- Messages: anything you send us through our contact form or by email.
Information collected automatically:
- Device and usage information: such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. Our hosting and security provider collects some of this to deliver and protect the website.
- Cookies and similar tools: see Section 6.
Information we do not want: the Services do not need, and we ask you not to share, Social Security numbers, bank account logins, full card numbers, driver's license numbers, or health information. If you share them in a conversation, we will not use them for any purpose other than providing the Services, and you can ask us to delete them.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide your personal consultant, The Standard, membership, courses, and add-on services.
- To tailor guidance, plans, checklists, and recommendations to your business, state, budget, and schedule.
- To verify that people requesting access are real, and to prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To process payments, manage memberships, and send receipts, renewal reminders, and other notices required by law.
- To respond to your questions and send important account and service updates.
- To send you news about Divine Standard, if you have not opted out. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To maintain, improve, and develop the Services, including understanding which features are used and fixing problems.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
3. AI Processing
Your consultant is powered by artificial intelligence. To generate responses, the information you share may be processed by third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf, under agreements that limit their use of your information to providing services to us. We share only what is needed to provide the Services. We use AI to assist you, not to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, such as decisions about credit, housing, employment, or insurance.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these situations:
- Service providers who help us run the Services and are allowed to use your information only for that purpose, such as website hosting and security (Cloudflare), form delivery, email hosting, payment processing (Stripe), and AI processing.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe in good faith it is needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of our members, the public, or Divine Standard, or to investigate fraud.
- Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case this Privacy Policy continues to apply to your information, and we will notify you of any change in ownership.
- With your permission: when you direct us to share something.
We may share information that has been de-identified or combined so that it can no longer reasonably identify you.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Privacy Policy: while your account is active, and afterward as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, keep records of your consent to automatic renewal as required by law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Access requests that do not become memberships are kept for up to 12 months. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
6. Cookies and Similar Tools
We use only the cookies and similar tools needed to run, secure, and remember your preferences on the Services. Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them. We do not use advertising cookies or sell or share information for targeted advertising. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy first and give you any choices the law requires. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because we do not sell your information or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of today. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing, as required by law. Browsers' "Do Not Track" signals do not have a common standard, and we do not respond to them separately.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, limited access, and trusted providers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Your Choices
- Account information: you can update your information in your account or by emailing us.
- Emails: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any marketing email. We will still send account, billing, and legally required messages.
- Cookies: you can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Know and access the personal information we have about you, and get a copy in a portable format.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete your personal information, subject to exceptions allowed by law, such as records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, targeted advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not do any of these today.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would require this.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other states with consumer privacy laws may have these rights by law. We extend them to all members.
How to make a request. Email info@divinestandardllc.com from the email address on your account, or tell us that address, with "Privacy Request" in the subject line and what you are asking for. We will verify your identity by matching information we already have, and we will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, up to another 45 days where the law allows, we will tell you why.
Authorized agents. You may have someone you authorize make a request for you. We may ask for proof of their authority and confirm your identity directly with you.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal within 60 days, or the time your state requires. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
No discrimination. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service for exercising your privacy rights.
10. Additional State Notices
- California residents. In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email, and IP address); customer records and commercial information (such as purchases and billing location); internet or network activity (such as pages visited); geolocation at the state or city level that you provide or that is derived from your IP address; and inferences about your business preferences drawn from what you share. We collect them from you, your devices, and our service providers, for the purposes in Section 2, and disclose them only to the recipients in Section 4. We do not sell or share personal information, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing information of anyone under 16. Under California's "Shine the Light" law, you may ask once a year whether we shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing; we do not.
- Nevada residents. We do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. You may still send an opt-out request to info@divinestandardllc.com, and we will honor it.
- Other states. Where your state gives you additional privacy rights, we will honor them for you.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us at info@divinestandardllc.com.
12. Where Your Information Is Processed
The Services are offered in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. Some of our service providers may process information in other countries, under safeguards that protect it.
13. Links to Other Sites
The Services may link to government websites and other outside resources. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Services before they take effect and update the "Last updated" date above. We will not use personal information we already collected in a materially different way without your consent where the law requires it.
15. Contact Us
Questions, privacy requests, and appeals can be sent to info@divinestandardllc.com. We respond within 48 hours, and complete privacy requests within the time limits in Section 9.
